From herbalist to artist

A story of how Terra Prints came to be.

Hello, I’m Brittny. I’m the one who creates every terra print garment.

I also ID, collect and press each and every plant silhouette you see. I love it!
I’m an herbalist first and foremost, I love to learn about the local plants and what magic they have stored within them. I’ve been studying herbalism for almost a decade and I still feel like I have so much more to learn.

It was an easy transition into making art with these plants that I have grown to know so well and love so much. I tried cyanotype process once and from there, it has drawn me down a path that I’m enjoying with my entire soul. Although I still love to collect and create herbal products, these days that part of my life has become much more for me and for my friends and family. Taking the business out of that realm has been a sigh of relief to be honest. I still do enjoy having an apothecary and still offer a few of my favorite items in my apothecary collection. Check it out!

So, Terra Prints is where I get to go outdoors, into the woods and come back with more abundance that I set off with. I then get to transform that abundance into offerings that I then share with anyone who wants to be a part of that outdoor world. You get to wear these plants! Their beauty is unmatched and their intricacy unparalleled. Nature does it best.

I’m here to showcase that beauty in hopes of bridging that gap between ‘nature’ and you.
