The passion behind the scenes
Worn seams, worked textiles, faded fabrics…
this so called ‘wear and tear’ inevitably infuses used garments with life, energy and story. Taking these used clothes and infusing them with plant magic.
That is the behind-the-scenes passion of Terra Prints.
Talisman, sigil, amulet, heirloom, totem, fetish; all words that have been given to items after the the action of infusing them with intent.
In my case, using plants - allowing the essence of those plants to carry over and into an item, through the ritual of prayer and intention. Allowing it to transform an article from mundane into precious.
The intent becoming something the wearer can feel in their spirit and proudly display on their being.
Though in our modern world, we might not be be wary of the ‘magical evil powers’ said to be lurking in our depths, we can certainly understand the benefit of protection from intrusive thoughts, manipulating encounters & unwanted, outside influences.
Each time a plant is harvested for a specific purpose in this way, it is done with thoughtful intent. With ethical practices and taught experience. Laid on sensitized garments, the physical form is not left behind, but rather an essence and shadow of that plant. Depending on these criteria the essence might be protection, connection, an opening of heart or alignment of all energy centers.
The process to me has similar threads similar to ‘flower therapy’, flower remedies, or ‘essence therapy’ in which follows that flowers have a healing vibrational energy which practicers can infuse into liquid to transfer the flower’s energy.
So please, enjoy these Terra Prints items, wear them boldly and with the assurance of their purpose and intent.
